About

My name is Sheryl Lee. I grew up in a lower middle class household where my parents
struggled managing their money. They made sure that we always had a roof, food and clothes, etc… They worked harder than they needed to in order to provide these things. Watching them work so hard taught me to have a strong work ethic and that hard work alone does not relieve money stress.

When I was 15, I got pregnant. Having a child at such a young age comes with a unique set of challenges and fears, one of which of course is money. I was terrified. How was I going to feed my daughter, clothe her, house her, provide medical care for her and every other expense that goes into raising a child? I began researching everything I could about money, from how to make it, to how to handle it. Those first few years were rough. I worked any and every job I could get just to make ends meet. At 19 I started working for a local credit union. As a young adult, in my first “real” job, I started down the path of accumulating debt through car loans, credit cards, lines of credit and medical bills. I thought that this was the normal way to success. After a couple of years feeling the weight of my debt, I knew there had to be a better way. At 23, I was the credit union’s youngest loan officer. As a loan officer, I learned the in’s and out’s of credit and the different ways people spent their money. That’s where my knowledge of and passion for
personal finance really took roots and began to grow. I spent about 5 years paying off the debt I had accumulated, while developing financial principles for myself. Eventually, I became frustrated watching individuals get another loan to fix their financial situation, as opposed to learning to manage their finances through budgeting, paying off debt and saving. After 15 years with this credit union, I knew I needed to do something different. I realized that what I really wanted to do was to help people to achieve real financial success. Fortunately, I am able to do that because I am financially set at the age of 34 and able to retire from the corporate world. So now I would like to offer my personal and professional experience to help you achieve your financial dreams.

I have a deep passion for live music and scuba diving, both of which have cultivated my love for travel. I like spending time outdoors, with my wonderful black lab Piper and my beautiful daughter Makayla, who is now grown and starting her own career.
